I want you to look at the last three gifs. Misha is playing this so well cause you can see a certain disappointment - like he wished to hear something else. Cas of course appreciates that he’s a brother to Dean cause he knows how much that means to Dean. To Dean his family is his world and being a part of this means a lot. But when you look at his expression in this scene he seems so sad and disappointed that Dean can’t see that he is more than just a brother to Cas he is his whole life the only thing why he keeps doing what he’s doing. And his eyes wandering slowly to Deans hand like he wants to grab it and hold it just to let him know how he feels but then he regrets that thought because he knows now that he’s “just” a brother to Dean.
Here’s the thing, um… Chuck… And I mean no disrespect. Um… I’m guessing you came back to help with the Darkness, and that’s great. That’s, you know… It’s fantastic. Um, but you’ve been gone a… long, long time. And there’s so much crap that has gone down on the Earth for thousands of years. I mean, plagues and wars, slaughters, and you were, I don’t know, writing books, going to fan conventions. Were you even aware or did you just tune it out?
